Parish Centre

New Parish Centre
Introduction
As part of the new development, the parish built a new parish centre to provide a venue for parish activities such as group meetings and social events.
Facilities
The parish centre is a well equipped flexible space. The main room can be divided into two separate rooms for simultaneous use or to make a smaller more intmate space.
It is equipped with chairs and a variety of tables suitable for all occasions and has some staging blocks to allow the creation of a small raised stage area if required.
It has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven/hob and microwave and toilet facilities, including disabled and baby changing faclities.
Availability for Use
If you would like to use the Parish Centre, please put your request in writing to Father Joe and your request will be considered at the next monthly Parish Meeting.
Please note that due to planning restrictions, we are resticted in what activities can legaly be carried out at the Parish Centre. Each request will be considered on its own merits, but some guidance is set out below.
- Activities directly related to the church are allowed
- Activities that are for the benefit of the Parish or the Parishioners are allowed
- Commercial hire for private parties or commercial events is NOT allowed (however private parties related to church activities such as weddings and baptisms are allowed)
Rules of Use
To ensure that the Parish Centre is used safely, is left clean for other users and is used in compliance with planning retrictions, we have established a set of rules for the use of the Parish Centre. The rules are posted on the noticeboard in the Parish Centre.
Any group that uses the Parish Centre must designate one person to be primarily responsible for ensuring that the rules of use are complied with. Father Joe should be informed of the identity of that person and that person should sign the log book in the Parish Centre at the end of the event.
We do not charge for the use of the Parish Centre. However, it does cost the Parish a significant amount to heat, insure and provide other utilities to the Paish Centre and so any donations towards those costs would be welcome.
